Weddings

If the words that best describe the vision you have for your wedding day are – Rural, Romantic and Relaxed – then Swallowtail Hill might just be the place for you.  Our little corner of East Sussex is really something special – even if we do say so ourselves.

We can offer the whole of our site for your wedding reception and for the accommodation of some of your guests.  Sixteen people can be accommodated in our two bell tents and two cottages-on-wheels, and we offer space for a further 10 two-person tent pitches.

Our orchard is the setting for your marquee and we can accommodate receptions for up to 120 guests.  We have an excellent little black book of suppliers who we work with to produce some stunning events.

Our emphasis is on events that are beautiful in their simplicity – naturally stylish and in keeping with the environment.   If you’re after a very formal event then we probably aren’t the venue for you.

While we can’t (yet!) offer couples the opportunity to actually tie the knot here on the farm – we’ve a picture postcard selection of churches in and around the area which might be right for you, or there’s our lovely town hall in Rye which comes complete with town crier who will announce your nuptials to the world (or at least the old High Street) once you’ve signed the register!
