With COVID-19 now declared a pandemic, our commitment is to adhere strictly to the advice and protocols issued by the World Health Organisation, Public Health England and our local authority - East Sussex Healthcare.
The well-being of our guests and our staff is our absolute priority. Please be assured that health and safety has our complete attention.
All of our staff are fully aware of the current requirements and we have put in place extremely high levels of health and safety procedures to ensure the highest possible standards of hygiene are maintained in our accommodation and throughout our business.
The landscape of our site is such that our six accommodation spaces are each at least five minutes' walk from the next, so social distancing is always observed.
We don't have any staff members who have recently been abroad or who have any family members who have recently returned from affected areas. If that situation were to change and a staff member discovers that they have been in contact with someone who has recently travelled from an affected area we will ask them to self-isolate for 14 days. If a member of staff were to develop a cough or a fever we will ask them to self-isolate for 7 days, as is the current advice.
We will be following developments daily and will update our advice and procedures as necessary. Here is a link to the UK hospitality industry's guidelines which forms the basis of our protocols, although we do go further, and we will share details of those additional processes should you wish. Those guests who are due to stay with us shortly have been contacted with full details of our hygiene and social distancing protocols to give added reassurance.
This is a challenging time for us all, and we thank you for your continued support and loyalty.
We look forward to welcoming you to Swallowtail Hill. If you’d like to have a chat about your stay then do get in touch, or you can find out more and make a booking using the links below.
